Why should participate?
- Dynamic Learning Sessions: Engage in interactive workshops that bring theoretical knowledge into real-world applications, tackling the challenges of accessible public transport.
- Community Building: Connect with like-minded students and experts passionate about creating inclusive mobility solutions.
- Exploratory Field Trips: Analyze existing public transport systems and their accessibility
- Hands-On Project Work: Develop your own creative solution for a barrier-free public transport system using the knowledge gained throughout the program.
Program Details:
- Virtual Sessions: July 1 & July 22, 2025
- Physical part: July 7–11, 2025, at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business (Welthandelsplatz 1, 1020 Vienna), including a field trip to Slovakia.
- ECTS Credits: 3 credits points will be awarded for participation.
- Costs: No tuition fees. Materials and coffee breaks are covered by the organizers. Further details on covered costs will follow in January 2025. Please bring your own laptop.
- Application Deadline: February 28, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: 7 days after the deadline

The Summer School is especially suited for students at all academic levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral) who are passionate about cross-border public transport and accessibility.
This event is supported by the Institute for Transport and Logistics Management (WU Vienna University of Economics and Business), the Austrian Association in Support of the Blind and Visually Impaired, and the European Platform of Transport Sciences (EPTS).
