IT Applied in Aviation

Today we would like to showcase the IT Applied in Aviation study program. This master will ensure knowledge and skills for challenging current and new jobs, such as: Chief Data Officer (CDO), Air Transport Data Architect, Big Data Architect, Cybersecurity Engineer, Virtualization Engineer, Data Protection Officer, Auditor, Responsible with Digital Data, Data Scientist, Airport UI & UX Designer, Growth Hacker, Mechatronic Engineer, Aviation Software Developer.
This master programme strongly focuses on digitalization of air transport, ensuring cross-disciplinary skills in aviation and ITC and a holistic understanding of ITC options and methods applied in aviation. Students will acquire learning outcomes for developing, analyzing and managing innovative and advanced ITC systems for air transport industry.
KAAT Project
Air Transport Department is one of the partners of KAAT project – Knowledge Alliance in Air Transport, which is focused on knowledge alliances (project number: 588060-EPP-1-2017-1-RO-EPPKA2-KA). This project is coordinated by the University Politehnica of Bucharest in Romania. One of the outputs of this project is the accreditation of the new study programme IT applied in Aviation (ITAA), which was created by 6 European countries and 6 universities, including the University Politehnica of Bucharest, University of Zagreb, Instituto Superior Technico Lisboa, Strasbourg University, University of Žilina and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines d'Albi. We are now in the first academic year of this international study programme, which was created and now taught by excellent teachers from 7 prestigious universities. 17th EUROPEAN TRANSPORT CONGRESS
The European Transport Congress will be organized by the University of Zilina Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications at 13 – 14 June 2019 in Bratislava.

8th International Conference on Air Transport - INAIR 2019 represents a forum in which industry and academia meet to exchange their ideas, to share best practices and to set up common challenges. The interaction between researchers and industry representatives is significant in order to come up with innovative solutions for the challenges of the future in air transport.
