Assoc. prof. Benedikt Badanik currently acts as an associate professor at the Air Transport Department of the University of Zilina, Slovakia. He is an expert in airline operations, airline/airport marketing and airline´s ancillary revenues. In his lectures, he focuses on airline operations, airline/airport marketing, quality of service at airports and airline´s ancillary revenues. Under the ERASMUS programme he delivers his lectures also at European universities: ENAC (Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile) in Toulouse, France, Cranfield University in the UK and University of Belgrade in Serbia. He is experienced in conducting and managing research under Horizon2020, SESAR2020, FP6 and FP7 programmes. Having worked for Slovak Airports Authority, Slovakia and Worldwide Flight Services, US he gained extensive knowledge and rich experience with managing regional airports and with cargo airline operations. Having held the position of Airport Zilina CEO he gained extensive knowledge in the field of managing small regional airports. Recently he supported a research study on “Proposal for effective operation of small international airports in Slovakia” for the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic.
